We have noticed a significant increase in our workload from local housing associations. The majority of schemes we have become involved with are new build, low rise developments. Owing to the lack of Greenfield sites, the majority of these developments take place on poor ground conditions, and we are increasingly involved in procuring site investigation and carrying out desk top studies at feasibility stage. Owing to the sub soil types in the local area, a great many of the developments are constructed on specialist pile foundations. We have a number of bespoke computer design suites which we have developed for specifically designing low rise pile foundations, and we believe that we can undertake such design work efficiently and produce very economic design solutions.
